This piece looks at youth culture uses email, IM, RSS feeds and blogs. Clearly IM is the main app used by this culture with blogs being almost meaningless. If youth media makers are going to be some of the first to be brought online for the Digital Bicycle project, it seems that embedding IM into the community will be crucial.
